Safety In General Operation of Motor Grader

BEFORE STARTING OPERATION

1. Examine the lay of the land and the kind of soil at the work site to determine the dangerous points and the best methode of operations
2. Inspect leakages from the fuel. lubricating and hidraulic systems.
   
3. Use the Handrail and step provided when getting on or off the machine
4. Wipe off throughly any grease, oil or mud on the step. handrail, floor or control lever
5. Adjust the operator's seat until it is in the most comfortable position for operating and use the seat belt.
   
6. Check the level of the fuel, lubricants and cooling water
7. BEfore starting the Engine, confirm that all control levers are in "neutral" or "hold" position

AFTER STARTING THE ENGINE

1. COnfirm that all gauges and warning devices are functioning correctly, and the gauge readings are within the prescribed range
2. Check the play and travel of each lever and pedal
3. Operate the blade to confirm that they are functioning normally
4. Move The machine slowly and listen carefully to the engine or gears to confirm that they are not making any unusual noises
5. Operate the gear shift lever to confirm that the travel speeds for forward and revers are functioning normally.Also caarry out a brake test at each travel speed.
6. Confirm that the steering devices are functionng normally

DURING OPERATION

1. Always concentrate.
2. The work area should be made as flat as possible.
3. The machine should always be operated at a speed where it can correctly cotrolled, never speeding,sudden starting,sudden braking,sudden turning,snaking,coasting
4. Be careful of those around you
5. Do not control the vehicle speed by pressing the brake as it will overheat the brake disc
6. Do not allow unauthorized persons into the work area
7. Always be aware of the operatinag capacity of thw machine

AFTER OPERATION

1. When parking the machine, park it in a safe place outside the working area, and return the gear shift lever to "neutral", apply the brake lock, lower the blade,scarifier and ripper to the ground, and put all safety levers in the "lock" position
2. Switch off the engine and remove the key
